"My Brother Sam Is Dead" by James Collier and Christopher Collier

By: Toure Malone ;D :) 8-) :o >:( 8-)

This is a quite interesting book because it has quite a lot of apprehension, anxiety and tension. Meaning, at the end of each chapter something happens that keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat. The end makes you want to read more. Moreover, as a special treat the author makes it seem like you are actually in the story even though it took place about 234 years ago. You can hardly hold the book because your hands are perspiring constantly. Your hands are so sweaty, and you get that nervous feeling in your stomach. Anyway, let me tell you a bit more about the book now. It is about a young boy named Timothy Meeker, whose elder brother Samuel is drafted for the American Revolutionary War. He becomes very sick from starvation in Valley Forge. Moreover, eventually, to make an example of Samuel, General Putnam has him framed and executed, to serve as an example. “He is just itching to make someone an example for all” Samuel says on page 97. I think that it is very wrong for General Putnam to be “itching” to make someone as an example. How terrible is that? It is very wrong! Why would he be “itching” to do such a thing? It is just plain erroneous.
